Julia Moffitt is Professor & Chair of Physiology, Pharmacology & Pathology.  Julia received her PhD in 1999 from the University of Missouri’s Physiology Area Program in the Department of Veterinary Biomedical Sciences and completed at Postdoctoral Fellowship at the University of Iowa.  Former positions include Associate Professor of Physiology & Pharmacology at Des Moines University’s College of Osteopathic Medicine and Professor & Chair of Kinesiology at St. Ambrose University where she helped design and implement the Advanced Physiology course in the newly created Master of Physician Assistant Studies program.  Dr. Moffitt attained tenure at both institutions.  Dr. Moffitt is a named inventor on several U.S. and European Patents and author or co-author of numerous peer-reviewed publications in neural control and autonomic regulation of the cardiovascular system.  An avid ultramarathon runner, in her free time you can likely find her on one of the many scenic running trails in Northwest Arkansas.
