Dr. Louay Nassri was born, raised and graduated from medical school in Damascus, Syria. He had his internship in internal medicine at the Huron Road Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio where he was given the Phillip’s Best Intern award. He had two years of Pediatric residency at the Charity Hospital of Louisiana in New Orleans, LA, then two years of Pediatric Pulmonology Fellowship at Tulane University.

He taught Pediatric Pulmonology at his alma mater in Damascus University Medical School in Damascus, Syria for six years. He moved back to the USA in 1980 where he established the Department of Pediatrics at Holt-Krock Clinic in Fort Smith, AR.

Dr. Nassri organized four Regional Pediatric Pulmonology meetings in the years 1993-1996. Experts from Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma and Arkansas shared their experience with physicians, nurses, respiratory therapist, social workers and other providers. He represented Arkansas in the Southwestern Cystic Fibrosis consortium. He gave numerous lectures on asthma and Cystic Fibrosis.

He was the ACCP Governor of Arkansas for the American College of Chest Physicians for six years then served on the Pediatric Chest Medicine Network from 2008-2012.

Dr. Nassri was recognized by the International Association of Healthcare Professionals as a Leading Physician of the World in 2014.
