Dr. Marti Echols serves as the Associate Dean of Academic Affairs at the Arkansas College of Osteopathic Medicine, where she oversees the medical education curriculum, assessment & evaluation. During her 3+ decades in medical education she has been involved with the education of physicians across the continuum of pre-medical students, medical students, residents and continuing physician education as a teacher, researcher and administrator. Dr. Echols has a special interest in communication and humanities relative to patient care and has been involved with teaching interpersonal & communication skills using medical simulation and standardized patients.

She received her graduate degree from Ohio University and enjoys fishing with family and friends. She recently relocated to Fort Smith to assist in the development of the new medical college at Chaffee Crossing.
